Young Achievers Recognised at Royal Reception

Badgers, Cadets and young people from St John Cymru were recognised for their outstanding achievements on Wednesday (21st November), at a reception held at Priory Church in London.

Among those who attended the Young Achievers Reception were 14-year-old Alex Rhoades who kept her brother safe while he was convulsing and St John Cymru Cadet of the Year, Amelia Davies and Deputy Badger of the Year, Daniel Jones.

In total 10 young people from St John Cymru were recognised for their achievements at the reception, hosted by HRH Princess Anne.

Director of Youth for St John Cymru, Sy Joshua, said:

We’re extremely proud of all our young volunteers. They are a credit to themselves, their families and of course to St John Cymru.

“Each and every one of them shows dedication and compassion to helping others and their community.

Our Badgers and Cadets are proof that you’re never too young to learn first aid. First aid really is for everyone,” he added.
